Good read, very real.
Fast paced and fascinating. The Vietnam version of Mash, well told by Dr. Brief, with an intimacy you could not get from the tv version. This was the true story. Well done!
Dr. Brief gives a good account of himself, his colleagues, and the horrors of the OR. I also appreciated his honesty about his post-war experience. Highly recommended.

I found this book interesting and informative. I lived through the Vietnam era but really had no idea what these soldiers went through. They deserved so much more respect than they v received
A gritty, honest telling of one doctor in Vietnam. He pulls no punches in this hard-hitting memoir. Graphic photos, so be warned. There are bits of humor interspersed, a few chuckles that time can only cultivate. It's worth the read.
